Today's word

mythomania \mith-uh-MAY-nee-uh\ - an excessive or abnormal propensity for lying and exaggerating
I worked for a guy in the AF who would lie when the truth would do. His superiors came to know that about him. So when we had a daily outage on a temperature-dewpoint set that turned out to be caused by wild strawberries around the unit collecting dew which evaporated in the morning sunshine - thereby increasing the relative humidity and in the immediate vicinity - he had the hardest time convincing anyone that was really the problem. Fortunately, the resolution was simple didn't need anyone's approval; it may be one of the few examples of permanent restoration of electronic equipment via WeedEater.
