What a week . . .

I think the only way to do last week justice is to blog on it as if in real time. So these entries will reflect the stress, frustration, and blessings of last week as if they were happening currently. In fact, since I can set the publication date and time of each post, they'll appear as if I entered them as they were happening. So before this one, the last entry that I made at the posted time was "At peace." Due to their length, you may have to pull down the archive at left, starting with November.

On the off chance someone is reading this who was involved in these events, know that my love for you exceeds whatever other feelings are expressed below.

  1. (I should have read the most recent post first but I always try to find the oldest post. As I was reading I was thinking, "Wait. I've been to TG's blog recently, how did I miss this stuff?")

I forget at which point you wrote it but I certainly thought you must've been making this stuff up. Wow. What a week.

  2. Yes, it really was something else. Yet, as promised, God's grace was sufficient to get us through it all and provide for our needs.

We were obviously quite aware of the many stressors we were under as we went through the week. I think the awareness was helpful; we knew there was a lot going on, and that it was perfectly reasonable to feel stressed over it all. As a result, mrs tg and I never became inconsiderate of each other's needs. The biggest downside was that all the "other stuff" may have kept her from attending to her grief. But of course, it isn't as if she'd "be over it" by now anyway. One thing I've had ample opportunity to learn is that our grieving of a close family member isn't something we're ever finished with soon after the funeral is over; I still miss my departed loved ones, even decades later.

Oh, and I'm hoping my sister-in-law is enjoying the yogurt. We forgot to put it in the cooler for the trip home.
